Natural Habitat & Origin
A selectively bred line of Neocaridina zhangjiajiensis, native to freshwater streams in China.
Care Requirements
Keep Snowball Shrimp at 18-28°C with a pH of 6.5-8.0. As other Neocaridina — broad tolerance, stable parameters, and absolutely no copper.

Breeds readily in fresh water. The white eggs carried by females give the variety its name.
Colour lines and breeding true
This is a selectively bred line of Neocaridina davidi — the same species as the cherry shrimp, and care is identical. Mixing colour lines in one tank produces offspring that revert toward wild brown within a few generations, so keep lines separate if you want the colour to hold.
