Where parameters (tank size, temperature, pH, diet) are given, we aim to reflect the consensus of reputable sources rather than a single opinion.
Profiles are checked for internal consistency — for example, that a species’ scientific name, water type, and recommended parameters agree throughout the article. We run automated quality checks across the site to catch contradictions and out-of-date figures, and we are actively reviewing and correcting older profiles.
We use software tools, including AI, to help draft and structure some content. Accuracy is checked by automated consistency tests run across the whole site, and the care parameters on our most-read species pages carry links to external references you can check yourself. We treat factual accuracy as our responsibility regardless of how a draft was produced, and we correct errors when they are reported.
